Sextortion is an online crime where youth are exploited through blackmail or coercion in an attempt to send explicit images and videos, extort for money, or engage in sexual activity.

1. Distributing sexually explicit images or videos of someone without their consent as a form of revenge or to gain power over the victim.
2. Threatening to reveal embarrassing or damaging information or images about someone’s sexual activities to gain leverage or control over them.
3. Sexual harassment through making unwanted sexual advances or comments in a professional or academic setting in order to intimidate or coerce someone to give him something
4. Sexual assault: This involves using physical force or coercion to engage in sexual activity with someone without their consent, as a way to gain power over them.
5. Child sexual abuse through the sexual exploitation of them through gaming or threats, in order to gain power over them.

Here are some tips to reduce the risk of becoming a sextortion victim:

– Be wary of accepting friend requests or messages from people you don’t know as they may be attempting to gain access to your personal information.
