It is still unknown why people suffer from antisocial personality disorder, but both genetics and traumatic childhood experiences have a great effect and play a huge role in antisocial personality disorder.

In the past, it was thought that there was no treatment for antisocial personality disorder, it was thought that it was a lifelong disorder with no treatment.

Therapy 

Medical reports suggest that therapy is one of the effective ways to treat antisocial personality disorder. Even though therapy is effective but most of the patients use it as a last-minute call.

Support of Family and Friends  

Family and friends support often play an active role in the patient’s decision about the treatment.

In some cases, support from family and friends is considered a treatment itself.

Medication

There’s little evidence to support the use of medication for treating antisocial personality disorder, although certain antipsychotic and antidepressant medications may be helpful in some instances.
