What is Mental Breakdown? 

As we mentioned above, The term “nervous breakdown”, or “Mental Breakdown”  isn’t a clinical one. Nor is it a mental health disorder. In the past, Mental Breakdown was usually used to describe many undefined mental health problems, but it is no longer used today. 

 

But that doesn’t mean that a nervous breakdown is a healthy response to stress. In fact, it’s quite the opposite, and it can sometimes indicate underlying mental health problems such as depression or anxiety. 

 

Signs and symptoms of mental breakdown may vary from one person to another, as well as it also depends on the underlying cause.

 

Generally, Mental Breakdown is understood as the person is no longer able to function normally. For example, he or she may:
