What is Seasonal Affective Disorder?
As we mentioned above, the seasonal affective disorder is a kind of depression, and depression is a low mood that might last for days or even longer time and it may affect your everyday life.
On the other hand, Seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression that you experience during particular seasons or times during the year.
Seasonal affective disorder or SAD can affect you during any season or time of the year, it is more common and well known that SAD is related somehow to the winter season, however, some people experience it in summer.
Summer seasonal affective disorder has less search has been conducted on this so you might find people are more aware of winter SAD.
Seasonal Affective Disorder Is Common
Seasonal Affective disorder is a very common mental illness, as it is very common to be affected by changing seasons and weather or to have times of the year when you feel more or less comfortable.
For example, you can be easily affected by the cold weather or the warmer weather, and this effect might change your mood or your sleeping and eating patterns.

Lots of people have heard of SAD and depression in general, but this doesn’t mean that they understand what it’s like or how you’re affected. It doesn’t mean you ‘just feel a bit sad, and there are many factors that can cause depression – for some people it develops without there being a specific reason.
